This page consists of poems that I have shared in my emails when announcing a new addition to the blog. Most of them will be from the updates I sentout but a few will be from the website itself. will be a few from the website itself. I am not sure when I started sending a poem with each new addition to the blog, but I will pick out some that are most relevant to me, and over the next few months I will be adding them.

The second poem also comes from the opening page of the blog “Why Am I”. I am here to tell our story, to share the love that we had. It does not matter how many new people I meet, if they know me they know Connie as I always share memories of her. She was part of me and always will be. I am the rememberer.

WHY AM I
.
Why am I still on this earth!!
To water the flowers of our love.
To Tell our Story,
To be the one that keeps your memory alive
To make sure that while I remember you,
All who I meet will remember you with me.
As long as I am alive part of you is here.
As long as you are not here part of me is not here
Yet I am the remenberer
That will have to be enough for now.

The first poem I chose to share here is the first one I placed on the website. It was called “Speak Their Name”. To this day, it still touches my heart every time I read it. It still means the world to me, when someone brings up memories of Connie as it makes my heart jump with joy.

 SPEAK THEIR NAME

Someone I love has gone away
And life is not the same
The greatest gift you can give
Is to just speak their name
I need to hear the stories
And the tales of days gone past
I need for you to understand
These memories must last
We cannot make more memories
Since they are no longer here
So when you speak of them to me
It music to my ear
