Sparkie,
I love your blog. What an act of love you are doing. Every young couple preparing to be married should see what you are writing to really understand what the marriage vows are and what an everlasting love is.
The last picture of Connie(the one that her mom didn’t write anything on the back). That picture was taken in Parkchester and Connie was wearing a coat of mine. It was a light lavender with a purple velvet collar. My nana ( Connie’s mom and my mom’s mother)had bought it for me. Being the youngest girl in the family, Connie had some beautiful hand me downs. As you know, Connie’s mom and my mom were very close and remained that way throughout their lifetime Sparkie, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I read you blogs every month. But I don’t usually post anything, except directly to you. This time you mentioned meeting Gary and me in 1976! Long time ago, but we remember that time too. Yours and Connie’s life in those early years – SO much just like ours (except of course the RA part) and we had our Marc born ’72, and Erica born ’74. You and Connie invited us, along with our kids, to your new house, and they jumped on your guest room bed, and “we let them”! how irresponsible were we! Anyway, I think a little vase fell of the nightstand and broke and you and Connie were so nice – saying “it’s ok, don’t worry” – It’s all embarrassing, now that I think about it. But I have to say, you two were and are special friends to us.
Also, Ricky Nelson’s “Never be Anyone Else But You” My favorite!
Hey Joel, this is Jill from Texas Roadhouse. It was so nice meeting you last night and I’m so happy I got a chance to talk with you. I’m so sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing your beautiful life with the world.
This comment section is very clean and easy to use. Thank you Joel. Your heart is in your blogging.
